ZACH

Playing soccer first, Zachary Shay expanded his love for team sports during his junior high school years where he was introduced to volleyball. At the age of 13, he joined the Velocity LV boys volleyball club team and played there for 4 years, and he also played volleyball for Freedom High school in Bethlehem PA. During those years, he honed his passing skills and was recruited to be the setter for the Wilkes University Men’s Volleyball team. Zach’s natural leadership ability was so evident that the team elected him to be team captain of the Colonels during his second year playing there. Currently he is playing and is in his fourth year as a business major at Wilkes University. Zach is certain that volleyball will always be a part of his life and his goal as a coach is to help his players develop a love for the sport to match his love for the sport.
