MARY KATE “MK”
Mary Kate Mooney graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Scranton.
Mary Kate has been playing volleyball for 11 years and began seeing real success in her high school career. During her senior season in 2017, she earned All-Conference, All-Area, All-District, and All-State honors. In that same season, she was also named the Reading Eagle Tri-County Player of the Year and the Pottstown Mercury All-Area Player of the Year.
Mary Kate continued her career at Bloomsburg University where she contributed to their inaugural volleyball season as a 6-rotation player for all four years. She went on to assist them in their conference playoffs for the first time in program history in 2021. She completed her NCAA D2 Volleyball career as the current all-time leader for the Bloomsburg volleyball program.
Mary Kate began her coaching career by assisting with the Perkiomen Valley High School volleyball program over the summer, as well as coaching at the Club Integrity summer skills camps. She is currently a graduate assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team at the University of Scranton. She prioritizes student-athlete mental wellness as well as inclusivity.
