MARISSA
Marissa Weil is a 2013 graduate of Ithaca College receiving her diploma in Clinical Exercise Science. She is now a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach at a training facility in Shavertown, PA.
Marissa’s successes began in high school where she was named to the STAC All Division Team as a junior and an STAC All Conference Team as a senior and was a NYS scholar athlete both seasons. After graduation, Marissa attended Corning Community College where she helped the Red Barons volleyball team to the MSAC championship as a freshman and was named to the MSAC All-Conference team. The following season, Marissa was named the MSAC Player of the Year. She continued her collegiate career at Ithaca College and their volleyball team. She earned a couple of All-Tournament berths and an Empire 8 Rookie of the Week award. As a senior, Marissa was named to the Empire 8 All-Conference team when she finished the season with 404 kills which was the 29th best mark in the nation.
After her collegiate career she attended 3 USA Open National Championships and continues to play competitive volleyball. She also began assistant coaching at Crestwood High School from 2015-2017 where she helped both the girl’s and boy’s teams achieve successful seasons.
Marissa runs the Academy’s Volleyball Fundamentals Training Classes and will periodically offer specialized Volleyball Fitness Training through her Personal Training Facility at a discounted rate for NUVA members.
When she’s not helping people achieve their health and fitness goals you can find her staying active with her 4-year-old son.
