With always being interested in volleyball and wanting to compete, Emily Gretzel tried out for her junior high team after playing soccer for 12 years. Her parents helped her with her volleyball career by supporting her endeavors on Rival volleyball club that year and later on with LIVBC. She played on varsity volleyball her junior and senior year as captain in her hometown, helping her team go to playoffs both years. With the help of her high school coach, she found that she wanted to continue her athletic career in volleyball and was recruited to play as a defensive specialist at Wilkes University. Now in her senior year as a four year starter, she is excited to begin her coaching career to help young athletes learn to love volleyball as well.
